Professional Examination Route:
For entry to ACCA’s Professional Qualification, you must be al least 18 years old and meet at least one of the criteria:
- Irish Leaving Certificate (in at least 5 separate subjects with at least 3 of the 5 subjects at Higher Level [Grade C or Higher] at least 2 of the remaining subjects at Grade D3 or above, either Higher Level or Ordinary Level [Grade D or above] including English and Mathematics]
- 2 A Levels and 2 GCSEs (in 5 separate subjects including English and Mathematics)
- Cat level B (complete)
- AAT (UK) Intermediate (complete)
- Degree (from a recognised institution in any subject)
- Higher Certificate in Business – pass (from a recognised Institute of Technology of HETAC accredited educational provider)
Mature Students Entry Route (MSER): For entry to ACCA’s Professional Qualification via the MSER you must be over 21 years old. You must also pass Papers M1 and M2 (equivalent to Papers 1.1 and 1.2) within two years from the date of your first eligible ACCA examination session. Students will then be able to transfer to the main student register.
HND in Business & Finance

A minimum of 5 passes in the Irish leaving certificate or international equivalent at Grade “D” or better on the lower papers.
Higher Certificate in Business (Accounting Stream)

A minimum of 5 passes in the Irish leaving certificate or international equivalent at Grade “D” or better on the lower papers.

A minimum of 5 passes in the Irish leaving certificate or international equivalent at Grade “D” or better on the lower papers.
Certificate in Office Administration

A minimum of 5 passes in the Irish leaving certificate or international equivalent at Grade “D” or better on the lower papers. Subjects to include a pass in mathematics and a modern language. A modern language might be E.G. Irish, French and German.
HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering / HND in Manufacturing Engineering

- A BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or manufacturing Engineering
- An AVCE/Advanced GNVQ in an Appropriate vocational area (eg in Engineering)
- A GCE Advanced Level Profile, which demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or an adequate performance in more than one GCE subject. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at A* to C ? Other related Level 3 qualifications
- An Access to Higher Education Certificate awarded by an approved further education institute
- Related work experience
- Achieve a Pass in the Irish Leaving Certificate or equivalent. Obtaining a minimum Grade OC1 in Mathematics, English and three other subjects.
Foundation Certificate International
FETAC / IT Tralee
A relevant qualification equivalent to the Irish Leaving Certificate Examination. Admission is based on 12 years academic preparation. Students must have graduated from Senior High School with a minimum average of 55%. A good result in mathematics and English in the final year examinations is required. Students should have an IELTS Score of 4.5 (intermediate level) or equivalent as a minimum entry requirement.
PgD in Strategic Business Information Technology

A Bachelor’s degree in an Information technology subject or equivalent or a non-Information technology degree (e.g. Bachelor of Commerce), with 2 to 3 years work experience in an IT environment with some supervisory or management level or 5 years work experience in an IT environment with some supervisory or management level and if English is not the applicant’s first language qualification (IELTS 6 TOEFL Or equivalent) is required
MSc in Strategic Business Information Technology

A Postgraduate Diploma (PgD) in Strategic Business Information technology awarded by NCC Education. This qualification is available through the Mid West Business Institute.
International Diploma in Computer Studies

International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies

The successful completion of the International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS) or the Irish leaving Certificate or International equivalent at grade C or above in at least four subjects including the language of examination and Computer Studies, plus 1 year’s work experience in the Information technology sector or students over 19 years of age – two plus years of proven work experience in the Information Technology sector. For non-English speakers an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent is required.
BSc (Hons) in Computing & Internet Systems
